Overwatch's April Fools Day Experimental Mode Is Awesome
To celebrate April Fools' Day, Blizzard launched a sweeping series of changes
to Overwatch that make a number of characters on the roster a nightmare to
manage. Mei now has plenty of health. Junkrat is able to drop three bear traps
at a time. McCree will receive an ammo refund for each headshot that he makes.
D.Va can summon her mech and slay her enemies, leading to total kills like this
one.
When I say that some heroes are actually a nightmare to take care of I'm
actually saying they're fun to play with (and infrequently in opposition
to).
Of course, these adjustments are currently restricted to Overwatch games

Blizzard often makes minor balance adjustments. Don't count on it to be round
without end, particularly with a new event for the season (Overwatch Archives)
beginning on in April.

A lot of Overwatch's joke changes should be kept or integrated into the main
game. They have brought Overwatch fun again, according to many of their
followers. After nearly five years of Overwatch's history, a sequence of April
Fools' day-themed jokes have brought new life to the game. (The complete patch

The game's defense downside is addressed in some of the adjustments Overwatch
April Fools' Day Game Mode. Sigma now not has a defense in any way however
it is able to glide across the map out regard for gravity. Baptiste's
Immortality Field, which is a successful layer of defense, doesn't provide its
signature immortality as a substitute for general injury.
Zenyatta's mobility has been enhanced by limited levitation (enjoyable!).
Reaper now has the ability to "fly" through his ghostly Wraith mode. This is a
good thing! Mercy can now focus on players who are hostile and focus on them by
using her Guardian Angel ability (which makes Valkyrie mode Mercy even more
terrifying).
Few of those adjustments really seem "balanced." Roadhog's chain hook having
shorter cooldown times when it is landed feels damaged. I am unsure Soldier Ult
from 76's required a buff. The sheer number of characters that are flying around
at the moment isn't sustainable long-term. But nearly every part feels
good.
Certain of these changes to heroes can be seen as an early preview of
Overwatch 2, which is capable of taking on character development and hero
skills. The skills are likely to be restricted to the PvE cooperative portion of
the game as far as we know. The game will also incorporate the way we play
heroes with whom we've been playing for the past half-a-decade. The Experimental
patch is also an easy way for Blizzard to barely break everybody within the
game, and check out sudden changes that are dramatic.
Overwatch 2 is a long way away and there has not been any new talent added to the online game one year (since Echo arrived), but it was nice to witness Overwatch become more modern even for a short period of time.
